Oil & Gas Service Lab is an Inspection Body accredited according to the technical standard UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17020 for the periodic verification (*), pursuant to DM 93/2017, of the following measurement systems:
- fuel dispensers (excluding LPG) and AdBlue dispensers with a flow rate up 200 l/min;
- LPG dispensers;
- Mass meter-equipped dispensers for automotive methane with a maximum flow rate of up to 70 kg/min;
- Volume conversion devices associated with gas meters (Type 1 and Type 2).
Since 2014, it has operated as a “metrological laboratory”. Following the implementation of the Ministerial Decree 21 April, 2017 no. 93 and the subsequent accreditation process, it has evolved into an Inspection Body, with its own autonomous and independent structure within Oil & Gas Service Srl. With wide-ranging experience and high level of competence and specialization of its staff, Oil&Gas Service Lab can meet every customer need, ensuring a precise and timely service to keep facilities always compliant with legal requirements.
Additionally, the service provided by Oil&Gas Service Lab includes deadline management at no additional cost for the nozzle owner, through a periodic verification plan for each facility. This strategy aims to simplify the client’s responsibilities and ensure that all activities are conducted regularly and within legal deadlines.
Oil&Gas Service Lab operates nationwide and offers its services to major oil companies, as well as to independent or private ones.

(*) Periodic verification is the legal metrological control carried out on measuring instruments after they have been put into service, according to the periodicity defined according to their metrological characteristics or following repairs that involve the removal of protective seals. The purpose is to verify the accuracy and reliability of the measurements taken and, consequently, the suitability of the instruments for use, in order to safeguard the public interest.
